Fireworks have long been a symbol of celebration, wonder, and joy, but the artistry and technical expertise behind them often go unnoticed. As a pyrotechnician, my role is to transform the mundane into the extraordinary through carefully choreographed displays that elevate any event. In this blog post, I’ll share insights into the pyrotechnics profession and how we create magical moments through fireworks for events ranging from births to memorials. The Science and Art of Fireworks: Creating a captivating fireworks display requires a blend of science, creativity, and meticulous planning. Pyrotechnicians study the chemistry of different compounds to produce various colors, effects, and sounds. This knowledge allows us to craft displays that not only dazzle the eyes but also create emotional resonance. Every show is a carefully orchestrated performance, designed to evoke awe and wonder. Personalized Displays for Every Occasion: One of the most rewarding aspects of being a pyrotechnician ...

Firework Safety from Thunder Pyrotechnics LLC

Picture this, it’s summer, hotdogs and burgers are on the grill, kids are swimming and running around and you’re celebrating with your friends and family. Maybe you buy some small fireworks because you want some of those adorable pictures of the kids with sparklers so you can keep the memory of their faces lit up. Maybe it’s not Independence Day that you celebrate with fireworks, maybe it’s a wedding, birthday, New Year’s Eve, whichever your event may be, we’re here to talk about being safe with fireworks.  First things first, if you have been enjoying yourself and are under the influence stay where you are! It's not worth it to lose a limb or worse. If you are sober and decide to go, get some fireworks to liven up the party, do not smoke in the vehicle or while loading and unloading the vehicle around the fireworks. NEVER light any firework, fountain, sparkler etc. while under the influence or while smoking. Make sure to have a water source and/or fire extinguisher near your light...

5 Things Your Pyrotechnician Wants You to Know for Your Event

Image
YAY!!!! You booked the best Pyrotechnics company to do a firework display for your event. Now what? Here are 5 things Pyrotechnicians, like me want you to know.  🎆We take security and safety very seriously! We don't know your guests, and unless they have attended our safety briefing, they are NOT allowed beyond the barrier. It doesn't matter if your uncle is a retired firefighter, or your cousin is active military. We will shut down the show immediately! This is for the safety of every single soul at the event. Typically, there are layouts, wires, live igniters ready to go and when they get misplaced, messed up or set off prematurely, it can become severely dangerous or even deadly. The security perimeter is also in place for the fallout zone. This is the area where debris falls when the fireworks are lit.  🎆There will be A LOT of debris for clean up! A lot of pyrotechnic companies will clean up after themselves, however if you are at a venue with a time limit this ...

Age is Just a Number

Age is just a number in love. We hear it all the time. I am a firm believer in this. My husband and I have a 9 year age gap. His oldest sibling is my parent's age, which makes his parents, my grandparents age. To us, it's normal. When his Dad passed, his Mom didn't know how to be single. They were married out of school and were together over 50 years. Then she met her second love. Some disagreed, some applauded her desire to be happy in love. You never know how much time you have left and why spend it alone, when you can spend it with someone who loves you back? 80 year old hunters and they got married in camouflage! Here is their ceremony: We are here today not for 2 deer in the great rut, but for 2 people with an unexpected love. A love as deep as the raging river, as beautiful as a sunrise on a crisp fall day and as open as the meadows.  You are each other’s best friend. Today you give yourselves in marriage. You are promising to honor and stand by the other, encourage e...

Established Family Can Still Get Married!

A family already created. A bond formed in love so strong that the only thing left to do, to bring them closer was marriage. Our dear friends asked me to marry them and of course I said "Yes"!  Here is their ceremony: We are gathered here today to celebrate one of life’s greatest moments. You can spend nearly a decade with someone and still have special moments. Today is one of those moments. 💙 and 🩷 will always remember today, and because of this, they are thankful you are here to share their joy. Over the last 9 years, 🩷 has gone to school and 💙 drove 5 hours each way just to spend time with 🩷 while she was at school. 💙 and 🩷 moved to an apartment and eventually bought their first house together. Making memories and growing as a family is important. You should always have a little spunk in your life. Insert ❤️.  There is a moment between a glance, and a kiss where the world stops, for the briefest of times. The only thing between us is the anticipation of your lips o...

Your Wedding, Your Way!

This ceremony was VERY unique! It was done on horseback and had a hand fasting unity ritual. I absolutely loved every minute of it and the horse kisses after were the cherry on top!  Here is their ceremony: We are gathered here today to celebrate one of life’s greatest moments. We are here to witness the unification of two families. This is a special time of celebration that 💙 and 🩷 will always remember, and because of this, they are thankful you are here to share their joy. Let us pray. Lord, help us to remember when we first met and the strong love that grew between us. Help us love in practical ways so that nothing can divide us. May our words be kind and our thoughts gracious. May we remain humble enough to ask for forgiveness and wise enough to freely give. Amen. What is the difference between I like you and I love you? When you like a horse you just pet it. But when you love a horse you water them daily. This is how love is supposed to work, always remember to tend to your ...

"Fall" in LOVE

This was a beautiful fall day, in the park, for a couple who has overcome MANY obstacles! I was very honored they asked me to be apart of their special day!  Here is their ceremony: We are gathered here on this special day to witness the unification of two families. This is a special time of celebration that 💙 and 🩷 will always remember. Not just because they are finally getting married, but it is also Mom’s birthday and the 5 year anniversary of 💙 and 🩷’ first date. 💙 had to become a big quitter (smoking gesture) inorder for 🩷 to agree to marry him. Thank God he did, or we wouldn’t be standing here today.  Let us pray. Father, thank you for the beautiful gift of marriage. We thank you that you’ve made this husband and wife one flesh. We pray for supernatural protection over this marriage. Let nothing tear apart this union you’ve created. Any differences they have, help 💙 and 🩷 to celebrate them. We pray against fear, discontentment, anger, insecurity and anything else...
